Story
In April this year, my dearest wife Jenny lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer after her diagnosis in July 2016.
Jenny held The Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation close to her heart, participating in last year’s walk with her team “Jenny’s Sole Mates”, in which the team raised over $4000 for the foundation.
In memory of Jenny and to continue to help in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer, “Jenny’s Sole Mates” are participating in this year’s 5km walk in Brisbane on Sunday 8th October. If you would like to support our team, we would be so grateful for any contribution, great or small that you can make, so together we can help in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer.

It is estimated that in 2016, over 3,100 Australians were diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Only 7% of Pancreatic Cancer patients survive more than five years and the median survival rate is between three and six months.
The Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is the only Foundation in Australia dedicated exclusively to Pancreatic Cancer. The Vision of the Foundation is - "To break through 40 years of no progress by doubling the number of people who survive Pancreatic Cancer by 2020".
